Probably should have asked this question earlier. doh:

Not sure on the hosted races, can you fix the race as fixed setup?

The Spec Ford has a few setup adjustments you can make. Mostly tire pressure and a couple things you could change on the first setup screen in N2K3. Full setup changes come with later vehicles. There is a baseline setup for the Spec Ford, but just wondering if we are tweakable for tonights race.

Man I hate turning right. :bang: :loll:

This vehicle is very light, makes corning interesting.

Yes, they're open setups. But we can share, live, while in the sim. It's a great feature.

The BAD News:

The iRacing Service is currently off-line for creating new hosted sessions. doh: They are preparing to roll out the new build, which includes numerous interface changes on the website, a new forum, and changes to the sim, including a new damage model and transmission model. Night racing at Richmond. Friend tracking... There's a lot in it... Preview at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_Ok2CPeIQ0

So we're dark as a League, but there are still races out on the service for those of you who haven't gotten your MPR or SR up! boxer:

Also, even if you don't race, log into the service Wednesday or Thursday to download the software patches. It's rumored to be a huge update, so may require a lot of time.

Grrrrrr.... And here I spent some brain cells trying to figure out how to keep the spec(k) from spinning out.

For me the trick was changing the brake bias. Took it from the stock (I think it was 63 or around there) down to 60. Still interesting left-hander right after the start/finish line. :steer:

Grrrrrr..... Part 2. Got a D-Link switch 10/100/1000 so I could bypass the router with my game unit. Was looking forward to seeing what the fps were in a hosted session. Guess I could go into a practice session, but it's week 13. :w_mad:

Trish and I put in some laps last night, too. Dern it...

I was figuring the update would be later this week. And hoping it wouldn't scrub Friday! Sure didn't expect it tonight.

It's a big deal, though. They're taking the site down at midnight, eastern, and it's not scheduled to come back up until 9...
